30kN Boa HMS

The Big Boa is a large volume rigging carabiner perfect for using as the central connection point in an anchor system. It shares the ergonomics and high volume of the standard Boa carabiner, but is made from 14mm bar rather than 12mm bar for increased strength. A 30kN major axis means this version of the Big Boa can be used for rescue loads, whilst the 12kN minor axis strength gives extra safety margins if accidentally cross loaded.

The carabiner comes as standard with a matt grey anodised finish, but can also be supplied with a matt black anodised finish or with more specialist Ceracote finishes in a range of tactical colours from artic white to desert coyote. The Ceracote coatings are also available with a reduced IR signature.

Rigging carabiners are used at critical connection points in rigging and anchor systems. They are built to be strong, and have large gate openings, internal volumes, and extended rope baskets. This makes them easier to handle with gloves on, and allows them to accommodate thick ropes, and multiple knots or slings.

Durolock connector locking mechanism

Our unique Durolock mechanism minimises the chance of accidental gate opening. Earlier this year the versatile Ultra O connector was our fourth locking carabiner to be paired with this option. Watch this short video to find out more about the Durolock.
